The RBSL Trust Mission

Mission

The Rebuild Sri Lanka (RBSL) Trust is a non-political private sector initiative committed to facilitating emergency relief, medium-term rehabilitation and long-term redevelopment of tsunami affected areas through collaboration and co-operation.

The Trust is supported by a network of local and international partners and utilizes the resources and expertise of its committed teams for the betterment of Sri Lanka.

Our motivation is to ultimately improve the lives of Sri Lankans affected by the 26th December 2004 natural disaster and all Trust members are committed to this humanitarian effort.

Inauguration

The Rebuild Sri Lanka (RBSL) team informally commenced operations on the 26th of December 2004 when a group of concerned business professionals combined their resources to provide emergency relief to tsunami survivors on the island. A very personal effort was undertaken to distribute aid to remote locations where survivors were in desperate need. RBSL Trustees

The Rebuild Sri Lanka Trust relies on the leadership provided by its Trustees and facilitated by the expertise of it operatives. The Rebuild Sri Lanka Trustees monitor and regulate activities and procedures in the provision of relief by RBSL operatives and assignment of specific teams. Each team is supervised by one or more Trustees, their primary objective to safeguard the interests of donors and advise on planning. more...
