PROJECTS IN TRINCOMALEE
Relief items and livelihood generation projects were undertaken in Nilaweli, Kuburupidiya and Tiriyaya areas (these areas also include Irakkakandi and Kuchchaveli) north of Trincomalee town. Distribution of relief items and monitoring of livelihood projects were undertaken by the Sri Lanka Navy (Contingent Command Headquarters – 1st and 2nd Battalions).

- Salon equipment – 5
- Cement Block making machines - 2
- Water pumps for agriculture - 1
- Boat and 15HP Outboard Motor - 3
- 15 HP Outboard Motor - 1
- Equipment for cycle shop – 8
- Fishing Boats – 4 to Nilaweli
- 15HP Outboard Motors – 4 to Nilaweli
The Outboard Motors were funded by the Shipwrecked Mariners Society. All other items above were funded by the Suntel Relief Trust Fund
PROJECTS IN AMPARA AND BATTICALOA
Water pumps, agriculture appliances, cement block making machines and an outboard motors and boats were distributed in the Ampara and Batticaloa Districts. The Sri Lanka Task Force and the Sri Lanka Army undertook the selection of beneficiaries and the distribution of relief items.

- Spray machines – 25
- Agriculture equipment – 50 to Kartivu and Kalawanchikudi
- 5 sewing machines
- 50 spray machines
- Block making machines - 3
- Boat and 15HP Outboard Motor - 1
- Approximately 200 agriculture appliances
- 2 Fishing Boats , 6 Outboard Motors, fish & prawn nets – Batticaloa
- 20 bicycles, 20 water pumps, 20 spray machines, 50 prawn nets, 100 agriculture appliances, fish nets and 10 sewing machines – to Kalawanchikudi
The above items were all funded by the Suntel Relief Trust Fund.
